José Ignacio de Llorens Duran was born in Barcelona 1946. Doctor in Architecture and professor of Construction at the School of Architecture of the Barcelona University, Spain. He has participated in curses and seminar in construction technology in Spain and other Countries were he is often invited by Universities, Architects Associations and other institutions.

Research Activity:
Since 1975 He study the Application of Tensile and Textile Structures. Experimenting with architectonic and Tipologic, constructive solutions. He research results has been presented at international conferences in Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Caracas, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gerona, Lyon, Madrid, Miami, Milan, Nagoya, Paris, Seville, Shanghai and Sydney.
   

Professional Activity:
Associated with Doctor Architect Alfonso Soldevila Barbosa, Made projects and directed building of Housing, Schools, Sport facilities bridges, pavilions, light roofs and signal supports. Now day collaborates with ARQINTEGRAL (Ch.García-Diego & H.Pöppinghaus) designing light weight tensile structures
. He is consultant of Construction for the University, Independent judicial expert and Appraise expert for the European Union. He often work with architectonic and engineering firms making projects, some of these works has been shown at Barcelona, Chicago, Florence, Ljubjana, Madrid, Paris, Rome, St. Louis (Mo) and Sydney.
